Ab Initio & Relaxed
Passing Rules

Passing is allowed only on the straights. Expect to be passed, allow for it but don’t look behind. Passing is strictly the responsibility of the rider passing. On the track, Safety Riders serve as coaches and set the pace. With each session, the group is guaranteed a steady increase in speed throughout the day.

Expert
Passing Rules

Passing is allowed anywhere on the track. This group is run much like an open practice. Passing is strictly the responsibility of the rider passing.

Expert Passing Rules

For riders in all groups:

  • Control Riders observe riding ability and encourage faster or slower riders to move up or down a group.

  • Riders making aggressive or unsafe passes, as witnessed by the course marshal or participants themselves, will usually be given one warning. If that same rider again is seen making an aggressive or unsafe pass, they will be asked to leave the site.

  • Pitt Meadows Track Days are only track days, not race days, and we will not knowingly allow unsafe riding on or off of the track.

  • No stunting will be allowed on site and we expect our participants to demonstrate responsible courteous use of local roads.
